Kids Club First Touch of Clay

For us, making things is above all about discovering, playing and the joy of children creating something entirely their own way. The club runs without parents, but the children are in the caring hands of our instructor the whole time, guiding them through the process.

Sometimes they help, sometimes they just show what can be done with clay, colours or other materials. And sometimes it's best to let the children figure it out for themselves. Every child has their own pace, their own ideas and their own way of creating, and that's exactly what we want to make room for.

We want children not to be afraid of getting their hands dirty, breaking something, trying it differently or simply experimenting. Because that's where the magic of creating lies.

What's in store

Discovering materials

We'll work with clay, water and colours. The children will get a feel for the materials, test their properties and discover what can be done with them.

Working with clay

We'll squeeze, roll, pat, flatten and press into the clay. The children will work mainly with their hands and gradually try out different ways of shaping and transforming the clay.

Colours and painting

We'll play with colours and try out different ways of painting. The children will have room for their own imagination and can choose for themselves how they want to create.

Painting on ceramics

We'll also try painting on a ceramic piece. The children will discover another way of working with ceramics and make something they can take home.

It's not about a perfect result

Maybe a little bowl will appear, maybe an animal, maybe just a few tiny fingerprints in the clay. And all of that is fine.

We're not after a perfect piece, but the joy of creating, discovering and spending time together. We want to give children room to try, experiment and not worry about doing something wrong.

Because it's those little fingerprints, imperfect shapes and children's ideas that are the most beautiful of all.

Finished pieces from the club

As soon as the pieces are finished and ready for pickup, we'll let you know. We'll keep you informed about everything by e-mail, so you'll know exactly when you can come and collect your children's creations.

We want children to take home not only the joy of creating itself, but also something they truly made with their own hands.

Important booking information

The club is short-term and consists of only four lessons. That's why only one missed lesson can be made up within the course.

If you know your child won't be able to attend a lesson, please let us know as soon as possible. You can excuse your child by phone or e-mail directly with the instructor.

We understand that with children, plans sometimes change from one day to the next. But if you let us know in time, we can arrange a make-up lesson and also plan the individual lessons better.
