Safety & liability

At your own risk

You visit the studio at your own risk. Look after your safety and your belongings. We are not liable for injury or damage to property. Tools are sharp and the floor can be slippery from water and clay.

The kiln

Do not touch the kiln, operate it or put anything on it. It reaches very high temperatures during firing and there is a risk of fire. Only staff operate the kiln. Put pieces for firing in the designated spot, not in or on the kiln.

Damage

If you cause demonstrable damage to the equipment, the kiln or other people's pieces, you are obliged to compensate it. The most common damage is run glaze on a kiln shelf, so follow the procedure in Glazes.

Other people's pieces

Do not touch or move other people's pieces. Unfired clay is fragile and it takes very little. Take only your own pieces.
